"Cut It Up Def Records was established in 1989 by Bob 'Scorpio' Smith. This label was a launching pad for producers JockD, Gemini,and Jealous J (now called Jim Jonsin), who released many 12'' singles that are now considered cult classics of Miami bass music. The record went gold but the money went into the wrong pockets, so all the artists left to pursue other opportunities. Over the years with the help of sites like MySpace and Yahoo's Miami Bass History group, Jock was bombarded with emails and messages from all over the globe demanding more bass!!! More scratching!!!
